Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness

Get your files ready before Copilot reads them.

Microsoft 365 Copilot can only show a person what that person already has permission to open. In most small businesses, that is more than anyone intended. We tidy permissions, set a security baseline, run a small pilot, and train your team — so Copilot helps with the right information and nothing else.

IRIS (Integrated Reasoning & Intelligence Steward) is our planning assistant. The scoping page saves your answers to your own computer as a file, then offers a link to email them to us.

Why readiness comes first

Old shares become visible in a new way.

Microsoft documents that Copilot shows only data a user can already view, including content shared with people outside the business. Old shares, open team sites and broad groups become visible in a new way. Readiness work finds and fixes them first.

What we do

Six steps, and you decide at the end.

  1. 01

    Assess

Licences, sign-in and MFA settings, sharing settings, sites and groups, and where sensitive files live. You get a short written findings report.

  2. 02

    Clean up permissions

Close oversharing on sites, libraries and links, with your approval for each change and a way back for each one.

  3. 03

    Set a security baseline

Multi-factor sign-in, access rules for risky sign-ins where your licence includes them, audit logging switched on, and labels for sensitive content where it fits.

  4. 04

    Pilot

A small group uses Copilot on real work for a few weeks. We collect what helped and what did not.

  5. 05

    Train

Short, practical sessions for the people who will use it, and for the person who will look after it.

  6. 06

    Roll out or stop

You decide, with the pilot results in hand.

What we do not do

Settings and structure, not your content.

  • We do not read your mail, chats or files to do this work. We review settings, permissions and structure, and we record any exception.
  • We do not promise that Copilot's answers are correct. Microsoft says its responses should be checked, and so do we.

After rollout

Ongoing management, if you want it.

We offer ongoing management of Microsoft 365 and the devices around it, month to month. It is a separate choice, made after the rollout.

Managed services and how scope scales

What changes the scope

Users, sites and the plan you hold.

The number of users and devices, how many sites, teams and shared drives exist, how much sensitive information is involved, and which Microsoft 365 plan you hold.

Find out how ready you are.

Describe your Microsoft 365 setup on the IRIS scoping page. You keep a copy.
